A versatile 3-in-1 wireless shooting grip that works as a grip, tripod, and remote – designed for content creators and photographers.
Sony Malaysia has launched the new GP-VPT3 Wireless Shooting Grip, bundled with the RMT-VP2 Remote Commander, expanding its lineup of accessories for Alpha™ Series and Vlog Camera Series users. Designed for both video creators and photographers, this multifunctional grip doubles as a compact tripod and includes a detachable Bluetooth® remote for flexible, wireless operation.
Supporting cameras up to 1.5 kg, the GP-VPT3 offers stable handheld shooting with a redesigned, ergonomic grip that allows for intuitive one-handed operation, including zoom and focus control. The grip’s tilt and rotation mechanisms make it easy to switch between front-facing and outward shots, ideal for vlogging, group selfies, and creative angles.
When placed on a surface, the GP-VPT3 functions as a tripod, providing a stable base for time-lapse recording, group photography, or video calls. Its detachable RMT-VP2 remote commander can wirelessly control the shutter, movie recording, zoom, and even custom camera functions via Bluetooth, with an effective range of approximately 10 metres.
The grip and remote connect wirelessly—no cables or receivers are required—ensuring a clean, moisture- and dust-resistant connection. The remote is also compatible with Xperia™ smartphones for added versatility.
The GP-VPT3 is available in both black and white finishes. The RMT-VP2 can also be purchased separately for users who only need remote functionality.

The Sony GP-VPT3 and RMT-VP2 will be available nationwide starting 13 June 2025.
